An English Country Garden

  • 14 guests

  • 6 bedrooms

  • 3 bathrooms

This beautiful manor house can be found on the outskirts of the seaside town of Bexhill-on-Sea. It’s close enough to shops and pubs to be accessible, but its countryside surroundings make it feel deliciously secluded. The house is elegant and spacious yet homey, so you’ll soon feel right at home. It’s an excellent choice for reunions of friends, or for special occasions – your host can arrange for anything from a private chef to on-site beauty treatments and massages to make it that bit more memorable. You’ll wake up each morning to glorious countryside views, feeling well rested from the kind of peaceful sleep you can only achieve in rural settings. After a hearty breakfast prepared on the AGA, you might set off to explore the area. There are plenty of walks in the vicinity if you fancy lacing up your hiking boots, but if you’re anything like us, you’ll want to see the sea. Cooden Beach is a seven-minute drive away, the perfect spot for a paddle and picnic in the sea air. Eastbourne Pier is twenty minutes away by car, with plenty to keep little ones entertained. History-buffs might want to see Hastings, where you’re sure to find...

About East Sussex

For centuries this historical landscape has seen novelists and poets alike ponder through the sprawling countryside and cobblestone streets, chasing that Old-World feel that’s otherwise extinct in modern cities. This home is managed by Oliver

This home is managed directly by a business. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Nearly twenty years ago, Oliver and his friend began curating the world's most unique and rustic getaways. Driven by their own unforgettable experience at a chateau, they have grown remarkably since then. Much like Plum, they believe in hand-picked luxury that doesn't break the bank.

This home is nominated for the Plum Guide Award.
