Sitting among five acres of grounds in the heart of rural Istria, this marvellous address has stood on this idyllic site since the 19th century. Indeed, there's quite a rustic flavour to the interior what with all the wooden beams and exposed brickwork, but it's fair to say that quite a few changes have been made in the century or so since. Some of these can be found outside, such as with the swimming pool surrounded by loungers and a dining table – thankfully, there's a pretty impressive outdoor kitchen out here as well so you really embrace the alfresco way of life. However, there are plenty of modern amenities to be found inside, including a games room complete with shuffleboard, darts board and PS5. If you're more than happy to simply sit back and relax, you're spoilt for choice when it comes to spots to do just that. There are lovely views of the Croatian countryside to be had out on the terrace, but come evening time, you can gather around the fireplace or disappear off to one of the elegant freestanding bathtubs for an hour or two instead. You don't have to spend very long at the address to find out how tranquil the location is, but if you're craving civilisation again at any point, there are a number of charming towns to discover nearby, like Groznjan and Porec, as well as the seaside at Novigrad.
