Tucked away in the sleepy rural village of Makose, this delightful villa is the perfect escape for relaxing holidays in the sunshine. The rural location means that the scenery is stunning, and the villa benefits from some incredible panoramic views of the Adriatic, the island of Lokrum, and the rolling countryside. Best of all though, the villa is only a short drive from Dubrovnik’s Old Town – you get the best of both worlds here. The villa is made up of two separate apartments, which is ideal for a few families travelling together as everyone can enjoy their own space. Each apartment has its own living space and kitchen, so nobody will feel crowded. The decor is calm and cool, with neutral shades and plenty of windows to bring in light – and those views. The outside space is undoubtedly the show-stopper here though. Spread over several levels, there’s something for everyone, whether you’re a sun-worshipper or prefer to curl up with a good book in the shade. One level is home to the oh-so-inviting swimming pool, which sparkles in the sunshine. It’s also great for evening swims as the sun is setting – it’s so peaceful. The lower level... is a pretty garden, with a lawn that little ones can play on, and benches for you to sit and admire the vista. We could happily spend hours here, sipping lemonade and feeling our souls being restored. The final part of the outside space is a fabulous deck designed for alfresco dining. The built-in barbecue and bar call out for lazy afternoons to turn into late nights, making memories under the stars.

Within the ancient walls of Dubrovnik, sand-hued buildings with orange rooftops jut out into the azure sea. That’s not the only pearl Croatia is hiding. Split has the narrow, timeworn streets of Diocletian’s Palace to rival Dubrovnik’s old town, and sparking...

This home is managed directly by a business. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Nearly twenty years ago, Oliver and his friend began curating the world's most unique and rustic getaways.
