Even though this villa is in Dubrovnik, a short walk from the Old Town, your hosts offer a range of extra details to make it feel as though you’re on a traditional farmhouse retreat. You’re welcome to pick fresh fruit and vegetables from their garden and kids can take a ride on their friendly donkey. If you want to experience rustic Croatian cuisine, a private chef can be arranged for the night of your arrival or during your stay. Once you’ve stocked up on sun-ripe veg from the garden, there’s a full summer kitchen for outdoor feasts in the wood-ceilinged dining area. A huge swimming pool set in the stone terrace is the perfect spot to cool off during the day and, from here, there’s a beautiful view over fruit orchards to the rugged mountains. Inside the villa, it’s a vision of wooden ceilings and tiled floor and feels a little like a mountain chalet in some rooms. Especially the dine-in kitchen with its wood-burning stove and wood-beamed roof. The open-plan living room has picture-frame windows overlooking the greenery outside. The villa sits just outside the centre of Dubrovnik, a fifteen-minute drive from the buzzing Old Town, packed with restaurants, bars...

About Istria

Croatia’s northern peninsula, jutting out into the cool blue of the Adriatic Sea, has been a traveller favourite for decades. This home is managed by Oliver

This home is managed directly by a business. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Nearly twenty years ago, Oliver and his friend began curating the world's most unique and rustic getaways. Driven by their own unforgettable experience at a chateau, they have grown remarkably since then. Much like Plum, they believe in hand-picked luxury that doesn't break the bank.

This home is nominated for the Plum Guide Award.
