Just along the Dalmatian Coast from the buzzing city of Split (a half-hour drive away), this honey-hued stone villa embraces the coastal idyll of Croatia. If you’re not spending the day at the beach, just across the road, while away the afternoon by the infinity pool, looking over the sea. Here, loungers are shaded by parasols and there’s a stone-built outdoor kitchen for long, lazy barbecue lunches in the sun. Exploring the myriad terraces and balconies, you’ll find a full outdoor lounge, shaded from the sun, and a rooftop terrace with a hot tub. Inside, the pastel-shaded living room is a soothing spot to relax in. Choose to dine in the sunny, open-plan living area, or head to the stone garden dining room, with its huge, rustic wooden table. The old stone of the villa is on display in bright and breezy bedrooms and each day you can wake up to a view of boats drifting by your window. Even better are all the extras – ranging from a soothing sauna and daily breakfast to a PS4 and billiard table sure to entertain youngsters.

About Split

With its ramshackle buildings of terracotta roofs, green shutters and sun-bleached stone, the old heart of Split could rival Dubrovnik’s. Diocletian’s Palace dates back to 305 AD and is a meandering old centre of narrow alleys, crumbling columns and pavements worn sleek over time, and it is very much still the buzzing soul of Split. The surrounding Venetian-style streets date back to the days of spice merchants and sailors, and...

This home is managed by Oliver

This home is managed directly by a business. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Nearly twenty years ago, Oliver and his friend began curating the world's most unique and rustic getaways. Driven by their own unforgettable experience at a chateau, they have grown remarkably since then. Much like Plum, they believe in hand-picked luxury that doesn't break the bank.

This home is nominated for the Plum Guide Award.
