Located in Charente, close to the Dordogne, the owners have sensitively restored this villa into a contemporary hideaway (their inspiring journey was documented on the Channel 4 programme 'A New Life in the Sun'). So whether you’re here for a quiet retreat, family holiday or intimate wedding, this is the perfect setting to celebrate life’s special moments On the ground floor, the lounge and adjoining library set the tone for a cosy stay, while the kitchen and dining room provide ample space for lingering meals and heartwarming conversation. From here, the doors open up onto a spectacular garden. Surrounded by trees with views across the countryside, this is a wonderful place for refreshing dips in the swimming pool and lazy afternoons on a lounger. By night, the soft glow of the outdoor lighting transforms this setting into an intimate sanctuary. The owners love to cook and can arrange pizza nights (prepared on the outdoor pizza oven) or barbecue feasts while you simply soak up the quiet romance of this home. And when... you're in the mood for some entertainment, the adjoining barn features a 200-inch screen and projector, as well as a pool table, darts and table tennis. From here, days can be spent hiking or cycling through the countryside. You’ll find a boulangerie and restaurant just a short stroll away, while the Dronne river is only a short drive away.
