Brimming with character, this quirky cottage in Saxlingham Nethergate dates all the way back to the 15th century. From its unique upside-down layout (with the main sitting room located upstairs and one of the bedrooms downstairs) to its beamed walls, vaulted ceilings and pamment tiled floors – you'll gain a sense of the home's rustic charm from the moment you arrive. Picture yourself sinking into the chesterfield sofas amidst the antique furnishings of the living area with a cup of tea in hand. From here, the low windows present picturesque village views to be inspired by. On sunny days, perhaps you'll prefer to find your perch on the secluded courtyard adorned in blooming plant pots and aromatic jasmine colouring the walls. There is also an outdoor seating area at the front of the cottage, from which to enjoy the surrounding countryside air. Located deep in the South Norfolk countryside, you'll be in a prime location for exploring both the North Norfolk coastline as well as the Suffolk Heritage Coast from here. Or spend days out wandering around the humbling market town of Norwich – only a fifteen-minute drive away.

Host
This home is managed by Oliver
This home is managed directly by a business. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Nearly twenty years ago, Oliver and his friend began curating the world's most unique and rustic getaways. Driven by their own unforgettable experience at a chateau, they have grown remarkably since then. Much like Plum, they believe in hand-picked luxury that doesn't break the bank.
This home is nominated for the Plum Guide Award.
