The location for movie sets and advertisements, this villa on the Maresme Coast was built in 1909 by stockbroker Marcelino Coll before being sold to the mayor of Barcelona, Juan Pich i Pon. It has since been classified as a protected building by the Autonomous Regional Government of Catalonia and restored to accommodate large groups of holidaymakers looking to explore Catalonia and take advantage of the Mediterranean coast. With that in mind, go forth and explore. The awarded beach of Sant Vicenç de Montalt lies only a twelve-minute walk away for whenever you’d like to make a day of salty surf, sandcastles and copious amounts of ice cream. Barcelona is a forty-eight-minute drive away if you’d like to get a taste of the effervescent city, but there’s also the opportunity to shop a little closer to home – drive to Mataró in seventeen minutes to find large shopping malls and cinemas. If golfing is your cup of tea, you’ll be pleased to know there are two courses within ten minutes from home. Practice your swing whilst everyone else goes to explore the immediate surroundings before meeting back up for authentic tapas and a cold beer. Back home, you’ll find that... the bright rooms all pay homage to the period with the choice of antique furniture. Enjoy the space it provides as you spend mornings in the kitchen trying to perfect the sangria mix, evenings enjoying ballads as the musician of the group finds their way to the piano. Simply walk the gardens, designed by the famous architect Jean-Baptiste Nicolas Forestier, and take full advantage of the gorgeous pool on days where the Mediterranean sun threatens to be a little too much. Find your spot, inside or out, and simply enjoy the charm, peace, and tranquillity of this home.
