Each bedroom is cosy and characterful, with nautical artwork and light wooden furniture. There are plenty of activities for all ages on your doorstep. For a Devonshire classic, head to the banks of the river for a spot of crabbing, and then grab fish and chips from the award-winning local chippy a nine-minute walk from the house. When the sun shines, Devon’s beaches could be Mediterranean. The wide expanses of Blackpool Sands can be reached in ten minutes by car, where you can enjoy a day of splashing in the sea and building sandcastles. There are many boat and ferry trips up the River Dart – your hosts are happy to recommend you some excellent day trips as well as tips on the best walks and other excursions. Dartmouth is a twelve-minute walk away, where you’ll find top seafood restaurants and laid-back country pubs.
