Absolutely surrounded by golf courses, this home is the budding golfer's dream vacation. Visit them all in turn – three alone are within a ten-minute drive – and choose your favourite hole at the end of your stay. The rest of the family can visit the castle and the heart of the city, but be sure to meet back up so you can walk the Royal Mile together. The stretch is filled with charming shops and pubs, and only a twelve minute drive away. Closer to home, you’ll find a number of restaurants to visit when you’re not in the mood to cook. After lunch, get the family together and take to the lanes of the Ardmillan Bowling Club a four-minute walk away. When you return home, you’ll find the utterly charming, purple living room waiting with open arms. Stoke a fire, get comfortable with a book, and spend your time simply letting go of all the stress of daily life. As with a blank canvas, your stay here is yours to fill in whichever way is most pleasing to you, knowing that at the end of the day you’ll be able to return to this eclectic home for some much needed R&R.
