Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

Housed in a historic building dating back to 1915 – designed by renowned architect Joaquín de la Concha Alcalde – this sunny, central apartment puts you in a prime position to make the most out of Madrid’s cultural hotspots. Retaining much of its period charm with tall corniced ceilings, parquet floors and French doors leading out onto wrought-iron Juliet balconies, the home blends history and modern elegance in effortless style. We love the touches of soft sage in the decor and the eye-catching feature lighting, as well as the sociable open-plan layout of the living area – perfect for relaxing in after a day of exploring the city on foot. The two bedrooms, meanwhile, are equally as chic with each one boasting a Juliet balcony too, beckoning sunny mornings as you perch with your morning coffee or celebratory sundowners as you people-watch from your privileged position. When it comes to sightseeing, you’ve got plenty to see and do nearby. Take a stroll through bustling Plaza Mayor (a three-minute walk), visit the Royal Palace of Madrid (a five-minute walk) and treat yourself to some retail therapy along Gran Vía (an eight-minute walk). You’re also a twenty-minute stroll from the Museo Nacional del Prado, while the Mercado de San Miguel – known for its gourmet tapas – is a mere one minute away on foot.

About Opera y Palacio Real

The small neighbourhood of Opera y Palacio Real sits next to the Royal Palace and its grand squares with manicured gardens. It’s also home to El Teatro Royal, the grand opera house. This part of town has an abundance of space and is far less busy than other parts of central Madrid – the calmness of the area makes it popular with families. You’ll find high-end local shops to peruse, as well as excellent restaurants, in this refined and sedate neighbourhood.
