At the edge of a nature reserve, in a picturesque Sicilian village, right on the sea – this villa has it all. Ocean breeze scents the air with salt and rustles through the whitewashed archways framing the house. There is no better way to start the day than sipping a coffee on the balcony overlooking the Mediterranean, perhaps after running twenty metres down to the beach and plunging in the water. The house is designed in a laid back Italian style – terrazzo floors, wicker chairs, and an earthy colour palette. There are three bathrooms, and the main bedroom has an en suite, so everyone has their space. Known for its Baroque architecture, the beautiful town of Noto is a UNESCO world heritage site and can be reached in thirteen minutes by car. Along the shoreline from the villa there are seafront restaurants, bars, and sandy beaches to explore. The breathtaking Vendicari nature reserve is a twenty-four minute drive away, a paradise for birdwatching, where you’ll find hiking trails, pristine beaches, and blooming native plant life. After a day of exploring, fire up the barbecue and whip up some cocktails as you watch the sunset from your balcony.
