From the moment we arrived at the gates, we knew we were in for a real treat. This modern French Provencal-style home is a delight. The views from the infinity pool over Lake Travis are breathtaking. Have a stroll around the beautifully manicured gardens – it feels like you could be in the Mediterranean here with the pencil cypress trees and palms. Unwind with a massage, or work out with a yoga instructor next to the glistening water (your host can arrange an array of activities). There are more fabulous views to relish from inside. We love the grand living space with its double-height ceilings, Romeo and Juliet style balcony and statues. Rustle up a feast for your family or friends in the kitchen with its copper-topped island and gourmet appliances. Then, watch a movie in the cinema with its ceiling of stars or kick back in the games room with its pool table, foosball, shuffleboard and built-in bar (it's one of two games rooms). This place is perfect for a family or friends wanting space to spread out (there's a guest house for those wanting a little more privacy too). There's a private dock so you can take the boat out... and explore the lake or head to Wild Basin Wilderness Park, just over 11 miles away, Austin's first nature preserve. Or go shopping at the Village at Westlake Shopping Centre, 12 miles from this amazing home.
