Gather up your nearest and dearest and pile into this elegant seaside escape. Located just steps from Southwold’s sandy beach and boasting its very own private beach hut to hire for bucket-and-spade days, this is seaside living at its finest. Sitting pretty in pink, the three-storey Victorian home makes quite the first impression, and things only get better inside. Carefully reimagined for luxurious modern living, handsomely-proportioned bedrooms spread out across two floors with room for all twelve of you. Though prepare for a tussle for that king-sized bedroom up in the eaves with views of the lighthouse – it’s quite something. But really, it’s back downstairs in the immaculately-presented kitchen and dining space where we think you’ll be spending most of your time. Get together for lazy mealtimes around that farmhouse dining table – best served with the French doors flung right back to let the sunshine in from the south-facing courtyard garden as the Sonos system brings the ambience. If you’d rather have a night off cooking, you’re just a five-minute walk to Southwold’s bustling town centre for lip-smacking fish and chips, lashings of ice creams, and a warm welcome in its local pubs.

What makes Southwold Pier different is its arcade of humorous, quirky, coin-operated machines. Created by the inventor Tim Hunkin, they feature a range of eccentric – and...
