There are many mews homes in London, but not many quite like this fabulous find. This old coach house has its original lattice windows intact and faces onto a gorgeous internal courtyard that's full of greenery. The interior design is quirky yet classic – a little like London itself – with crisp whites and polished glass contrasting with bright, colourful touches and a collection of contemporary artworks. You'll love starting your morning with a hot espresso outside on the balcony, and rounding off the day with a nightcap as you leaf through the collection of coffee table books. With Kensington High Street less than a minute away, you'll find a wide range of upmarket shops and restaurants – and you won't have far to carry your shopping bags home. Kensington Palace and Gardens are less than ten minutes away on foot and, if you want to head into the centre of London to catch a show or see the sights, then the Tube can whisk you there in just over twenty minutes. Please note all stays of 8 nights or more include complimentary weekly cleaning, linen changes and replenishment of toiletries.

Local guide
About Kensington
Affluent and incredibly central, Kensington is a great base for exploring London on foot. Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park are on your doorstep and so are the Victoria and Albert, Science, and Natural History Museums. The streets are attractive and well maintained (grand, white stucco facades aplenty) and your neighbours will be a wealthy, conservative set. Lots of positives but probably not the place to let your hair down.
