If you like your holidays with a side order of seclusion, you're sure to fall for this handsome stone home in North Wales. Not only can it be found at the far end of the naturally isolated Llyn Peninsula, but the property itself lies in the middle of a working farm and is only accessible via a half-mile-long track off the main road. This peaceful position is only made better by the gorgeous views of rolling fields and the Irish Sea stretching out to the distant horizon, which you can enjoy this coastal vista from one of the two patio areas. If the weather takes a turn for the worse, it's easy to get toasty inside, whether next to the wood-burning fireplace or in the freestanding bathtub. We also have a lot of kind words for the design. There are plenty of rustic aspects that are typical of cottages of the region, including exposed stonework, flagstone flooring and wooden ceiling beams, but you can spot plenty of contemporary flourishes, too – the sleek kitchen and bathrooms are perhaps the best examples.
