At Llyn Tegid, a wealth of watersports await adventurous travellers, as well as a traditional steam train that runs along the water's edge. Set within Snowdonia National Park, there is a myriad of hiking and mountain-biking routes up into the glacial landforms – just make sure that you pack for all the action. Wake up in a minimalist-style bedroom after a good night's sleep, and freshen up first thing beneath a rain shower. Then, descend the staircase into the wood-beamed living area. Enjoy a fried breakfast with your loved ones and plan your itinerary at the half-bench dining table.
