Gaze out over Cader Idris and the surrounding countryside from this charming mid-Wales cottage. Its location at the head of the Dyfi Estuary makes it perfect for those looking to get away from it all with friends or family while also offering easy access to the market town of Machynlleth, 4 miles away. Lined with local shops, captivating cafes and host to a local weekly market, there's plenty to see and do. While the town holds a special place in Welsh history as the seat of Owain Glyndŵr's Welsh Parliament, today, it is perhaps best known as the home of the Machynlleth Comedy Festival – a side-splitting celebration of all things hilarious held over a few days each spring. With rolling green fields, an enclosed garden, and easy access to the mountains and the sea (the beaches of Cardigan Bay are 14 miles away), life here is all about embracing the outdoors – whatever the weather. After a day spent hiking through the hills or cycling along remote tracks that lead directly from your doorstep, you'll be embraced by the welcoming atmosphere of this home away from home and the promise of a warming fire.
