Stumbling upon this 350-year-old cottage feels like discovering a hidden gem. Sitting on the beach in Bishopston and surrounded by rugged countryside, you’ll find the only access to this home is by the owner’s private vehicle – setting the tone for a truly immersive stay on the Gower Peninsula. From the moment of arrival, you’ll want to pause and savour the secluded and remote nature of this setting. Formerly a quarryman's house and a smuggler's inn, the owners have since restored this whitewashed cottage into a seaside sanctuary. Featuring a mix of traditional features alongside contemporary comforts, every detail has been considered to fill your stay with lightness and ease. So whether you’re staying cosy by the fire or exploring the delights of the garden, there’s a wonderful sense of character and charm to this home. Outside, you can roam freely across the (almost private) beach, dive into the sea, hike through the woods or explore the cliff-top coastal path. Wherever the day takes you, this home provides the perfect refuge for adventurous travellers – one that will inspire you long after you leave.

About The Gower Peninsula
When it comes to Britain’s best beaches, the Gower takes some beating. Rhossilli’s mantlepiece must be sagging with all the gongs it's received over the years. And there are many more – equally lovely – sandy spots to while away your days or get your heart racing on this 19-mile long peninsula. This is a surfing hotspot, particularly the breaks at Llangennith and Langland, and a haven for family holidays....
