With its thatched roof and rural village location, this former barn, dating back to 1790, is now a sweet homely hideout for two. The open-plan living space is made for hunkering down – curl up on the plump leather sofa with a cup of tea, then sit down to a hearty meal at the oak dining table. In warm weather, step out onto the patio and soak up the glorious sunshine. If you’re keen to explore, grab your binoculars and head over to Upton Fen to catch sight of buzzards and march harriers. When nothing but a crisp pint in a pub garden will do, the White Horse is a fifteen-minute walk away. Spend balmy afternoons strolling along the unspoilt beaches of Caister-on-Sea, reached in twenty minutes by car, or head into the city of Norwich to sample the fantastic selection of independent shops, cafes and restaurants.
