You’ll find this quaint flint cottage in the heart of Docking, a picturesque village in the north western corner of Norfolk. Step through the mint green door and into the homespun living space – we loved the floral print sofas, exposed timber beam and wood burning stove. Potter around the farmhouse-style kitchen before nursing a cup of tea on the bench outside. And when you’re ready to explore, Brancaster Beach is only four miles away. Spend warm afternoons paddling in the North Sea and picking your way across the wide expanse of golden sands. History and culture buffs should spend some time at the royal Sandringham Estate, a short car ride away, while outdoors enthusiasts enjoy a ramble around Barrow Common. End the day with a hearty home-cooked dinner or treat yourself to a fish supper – there’s a chip shop just a five-minute walk from your doorstep.
