There’s plenty to love about this charming cottage on the Northumberland Coast. First, the location is top-notch, in the village of Bamburgh, where the castle rises up on a volcanic outcrop over the shamble of houses and a deserted sweep of sandy beach is perfect for long walks. A short walk into the centre sees you at cosy country pubs, tea rooms and a deli shop and a butcher for supplies. When the sun shines, so does this home. We love the conservatory room with its comfy wicker chairs basking in the light. This leads to the private back garden, where rattan furniture awaits on the deck and there’s a summer house on the patio. Inside, the kitchen has the farmhouse feel with a big range-style cooker and country-chic cabinets. The living room feels cosy yet grand, set around a feature fireplace.
