With plenty of charm and a whole host of modern comforts, this recently refurbished farm building is a wonderful introduction to Northumberland. It's the perfect place to kick back and relax between your adventures in this rugged corner of England. The main living space, with its high ceilings and traditional wooden beams, is as cosy as it is grand. Light up the wood burner and flop down on the sofa with a glass of wine to watch a blockbuster after a busy day. When you get hungry, you can whip up your favourite hearty dishes in the kitchen – we recommend a classic Sunday roast. And, if the weather is warm, you can enjoy a tipple outside on the terrace, as you breathe in the fresh air and make some plans for your stay. History buffs are truly spoilt, with Alnwick Castle, Bamburg Castle, and Dunstanburgh Castle all within a short drive. Walkers and cyclists can pack a picnic and explore the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just a stone's throw away. And, if you fancy a day trip, you can drive down to Newcastle in around an hour, to immerse yourself in the lively city.

About The Northumberland Coast

Right at the top of England, Northumberland’s great expanse is dotted with medieval strongholds that have seen many a bloody battle. A landscape rich with history, you can explore the crumbling ruins of clifftop castles or tour restored and retained masterpieces at Bamburgh Castle and Alnwick Castle. Fishing villages punctuate the sweeps of undiscovered beaches along the coastline. Tangles of lobster pots sit on old stone harbours while boats trundle...
