Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

It's easy to see the draw of this period home located in the picturesque fishing village of Walberswick, just across the harbour from Southwold. From nearly every stylish room, you'll be able to catch a glimpse of the sea. An excellent choice for a family seaside getaway, you're just a short walk from the beach for mornings of sandcastle building and kite flying. When tummies start to grumble, the village tearoom is a delight, or for something a little heartier, dive into one of the two charming pubs or walk over to Southwold via the footbridge for a fish and chip lunch. Back at home, this period property may have old bones, but inside, everywhere feels refreshingly contemporary and playful, with vibrant textiles and intriguing artwork add layers of interest and style. And you can expect to do some entertaining here with that atmospheric dining room for long, sit-down meals in winter months and outside, a covered three-sided dining barn space with long summer night barbecues written all over it. You can keep the night flowing with a spot of stargazing around the firepit afterward. Or take things inside to the playroom for an impromptu family boogie – there's a disco light at the ready.

The pier, with its traditional pavilion, might look like any other late-Victorian pier from the outside, but it’s a must-visit in this seaside town. What makes Southwold Pier different is its arcade of humorous, quirky, coin-operated machines. Created by the inventor Tim Hunkin, they feature a range of eccentric – and...
