A former fisherman’s cottage in the heart of Aldeburgh, this colourful home makes for a memorable stay on the Suffolk coast. Inside, white walls provide a perfect backdrop for punchy pops of colour – we loved the bold nautical-inspired prints and the plush blue rug. Begin your morning kicking back with a coffee on the sofa before rustling up a cooked breakfast in the modern kitchen. Watch the world pass by from the bistro set on the dinky patio, then slap on your suncream and gently stroll along the High Street. Earmark a seafood restaurant for later and browse the independent shops. Spend the afternoon strolling along the beach, stopping now and again to paddle in the cool North Sea. If you’d like to explore a little further afield, set out on the 6.5 mile Aldeburgh and Thorpeness circular walk or catch a performance at the Snape Maltings, a fifteen-minute drive away.
