Split over two floors, this stunning converted chapel is dominated by original ecclesiastical features, such as vaulted ceilings and arched windows, which are best viewed from the downstairs kitchen diner and the open living space upstairs. As a former chapel, the home inspires reverence and self-reflection, making it ideal for anyone seeking an escape from the occasionally frenetic pace of life. Equally, the fact it's only half an hour from the Yorkshire Dales and forty-five minutes from the North Yorkshire Moors makes for an ideal retreat with family or friends. Break out the hiking poles for jaw-dropping scenic walks through some of the most picturesque landscapes in the UK, while those who prefer to get their thrills on two wheels might want to bring their bikes for some lung-busting rides through the hills. At the end of the day, get your creative juices flowing in the kitchen before plating up at the table. Alternatively, tuck into a sumptuous supper at either of the upstairs options before retiring to the sofa for a relaxing evening curled up with a good book. However, if you'd rather leave the food prep to the professionals, check out the nearby Black Bull Inn, which is well... known for its delicious seasonal seafood dishes.

About North Yorkshire
England’s largest ceremonial county, almost half of North Yorkshire is covered in National Parkland. The wild hinterland of the North Yorkshire Moors can be discovered on foot over meandering paths, or from the comfort of a Victorian carriage on a vintage steam train. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is more green and undulating with grey stone villages dotting the hillside and fields and fells stretching to the horizon. Between the...
