You’ll find the Vail Ski Resort in the heart of the Rocky Mountains where unbeatable panoramic views are the other of the day. Only minutes away from the resort, this Colorado home, by extension, benefits from similar scenic surroundings and also means there’s nothing stopping you from being the first on the powdery, white slopes. Hitch a ride in the free shuttle and test your mettle in a pair of skis before returning home to soak tired limbs in the communal hot tub. When you’re feeling a little less stiff from the cold, we recommend an indulgent bubble bath to ease the last bit of tension. Follow it up with a freshly-brewed coffee in front of the fire and don’t miss out on watching the sunset from the balcony. Wrap up and pour yourself a stiff drink of whiskey as you pad out into the crisp mountainside air. Admiring the views, where you might even spot a roaming bear native to this area, you’ll fall in love with this slower pace of life. About Vail
The Rocky Mountains provide some of the best skiing opportunities not just in North America, but in the world, and nowhere is that more obvious than Colorado. And in the summer, the hiking trails can provide just as much activity. Vail is a real hotspot for this outdoor action, with vast mountain slopes and countless non-skiing options. The town itself, modelled after alpine villages in Switzerland and Germany, is known for its lively apres-ski scene. The surrounding towns and villages don’t have the same reputation for being celebrity destinations, but they offer quieter slopes and equally charming main streets.
