A true escape set along a forestry track, this home is in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. With epic views of the surrounding Coed y Brenin forest and the Cadair Idris mountain range, it's remote and it's beautiful. Nature lovers will delight in the private garden, complete with a built-in barbecue for summer evenings, and in the master bedroom's balcony – the perfect spot for morning coffee before the rest of the gang have woken up. As a building, it's typical of the area – a stunning stone-built farmhouse with bags of character features and plenty of cosy nooks to hide away in with a good book. We love the living room with its enormous wood burner and the conservatory with the best view in the house. A large, eat-in kitchen is equipped with everything you'll need for cooking at home and there's a big dining table for all your group's meals. With great hiking and biking on your doorstep, and just a forty-minute drive or so to the coast, it's an excellent spot for exploring further afield. And don't miss the chance to climb Snowdon – or catch the train if you'd prefer to see the summit without the work.
