Tucked away at the end of a bridleway, this charming converted barn offers an idyllic romantic getaway within easy reach of Kent’s stunning coastline. Surrounded by a beautiful leafy garden, you’ll feel perfectly secluded as you enjoy sunny breakfasts at the outdoor table or celebratory sundowners as the breeze carries birdsong and the perfume of flowers all around you. Spend afternoons hanging out in the hammock by the pond or settle yourself onto one of the deck chairs to catch some rays with your holiday read. Cooler evenings call for snuggling up on the sofa by the living room’s wood-burning fireplace with a glass of wine and gathering for an intimate meal under the cross-beamed ceiling when you’re not out sampling the seafood fare in one of the neighbouring coastal towns. We love the pieces of art here created by local painters, and we can’t imagine anything dreamier than taking a long soak in the bathroom’s freestanding tub. And when you can bear to tear yourself away from your bolthole hideaway, you’ll find all the seaside delights of Sandwich Bay and Deal just a short drive away.
