Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

This former lifeboat house has a pioneering history – it owns the impressive title of being the first of its kind in the United Kingdom. And while it may no longer be used for life-saving missions, the owners have since restored it into a private seaside sanctuary – the perfect setting to relax and enjoy the adventurous spirit of the Northumberland coastline. Featuring a large enclosed garden with direct access to the beach alongside a range of personal touches, you’ll find everything you could need to settle in and make this space your own. From the large living room and snug bedrooms to the fully-equipped kitchen, there’s a wonderful sense of warmth and comfort throughout this home. So whether you’re snuggling up on the sofa by the wood-burning stove or embracing the magic of outdoor living with a barbecue, you’ll find yourself captivated by the simple charm of this setting. Outside, days can be spent walking barefoot on the beach, visiting the historic Bamburgh Castle and enjoying the unique atmosphere of this special region from the local pub. While there’s everything you could need within walking distance, we also recommend taking a boat trip to the majestic Farne Islands or exploring nearby Alnwick castle – less than a thirty-minute drive away.
