Characterful, charming and deceptively spacious, this cottage in the heart of Tuddenham is a joy to return to after long days spent exploring the Suffolk countryside and coast. Inside, it feels rustic and homespun with original timber beams and a collection of antique furnishings. Start mornings with a light breakfast in the rustic kitchen before retiring to one of two sitting rooms with a cup of tea. After treating yourself to a slice of cake at the neighbouring tea room, amble around your village or stretch your legs with a walk along one of the many bucolic lanes that meander from your doorstep. Visit the historic town of Woodbridge, 3.5 miles away, for a spot of lunch at the Michelin guide-listed Unruly Pig, then make haste to the seaside – Aldeburgh is reached in thirty-five minutes by car.
