You'll find this Scandi-inspired barn in Toft Monks, a quaint village on the border between Suffolk and Norfolk. Every room is packed with character, charm and contemporary comforts – we're talking exposed wooden beams overhead, freestanding tubs and rainfall showers that ooze relaxation, and plenty of board games and books in the mezzanine snug to keep everyone occupied on rainy days. The heart of the home is the showstopping dining area, with its floor-to-ceiling windows, brick walls and double-height ceilings. Rustle up a gourmet dinner on the Aga stove – using regional produce from the local farm shop, of course – then gather around the oak dining table and dig in as the sun goes down. Later on, enjoy a movie night in the lounge as the wood burner crackles – what could be better than that? Outside, an expansive garden beckons on summer afternoons – we think it's the perfect spot to savour a glass of wine in the Suffolk rays. Or, make the most of the nice weather with a trip to Somerleyton, Great Yarmouth and Norwich – all less than a thirty-five-minute drive away. Whether you're keen on countryside walks, sunny days by the coast or outdoor activities aplenty, this idyllic location has something for everyone.

About The Broads

Straddling both Norfolk and Suffolk, The Broads now house over a quarter of the UK’s rarest animals and plants, with water voles, cuckoos and European eel all found among its habitats. Yet the winding rivers and broads haven’t always been here – they were created in the Middle Ages when peat workings were flooded. Spend your time in The Broads paddling along the navigable waterways, spotting the traditional windmills that...
