Tucked away down a quiet side street in the market town of Dolgellau, this charming cottage is an excellent base from which to explore Snowdonia National Park and the seaside towns that cluster around Cardigan Bay. The home is easy-going and inviting – there’s an open-plan living space with a comfy L-shaped sofa and a clutter-free dining area for lively family dinners. Start your mornings with a cup of coffee at the bistro set in the dinky courtyard before pulling on your hiking boots and setting off on the Torrent Walk, less than a ten-minute drive away. If you’d prefer to expend a little less energy, take the twenty-minute car ride to Barmouth Beach and stretch out on the golden sand. When it’s time to call it a day, it’s back to your pad with a large portion of fish and chips and a well-deserved bottle of wine.
