Just when we thought we'd seen the most elegant home Henley-on-Thames could deliver, along comes this Victorian gem of a townhouse to blow us away. Step out from this home's handsome façade and onto its leafy street, and in just two minutes flat, you'll be strolling along the riverfront. Or, just a smidge further, the well-heeled centre brimming with pubs, bars, and restaurants. Back home, the hosts have beautifully reimagined the townhouse for luxurious modern living, with period charm and refined style oozing from every corner of its four lofty floors. Upstairs, you'll find one hug of a bed in the four generously-sized bedrooms. Though prepare for a tussle for that showstopping main suite with a sublime copper rolltop bath. Downstairs, that expansive, made-for-action kitchen and dining space, complete with a wine cellar to store your favourite vintage, has a knees-up dinner party written all over it. In the winter months, keep the night flowing with drinks in the sitting room beside the fire, and on long summer nights, take things outside to the glorious walled garden. Surrounded by tumbling roses and twinkling fairy lights, there's no finer place to toast the day's end.
