This is one of those rare homes that demands your attention in every direction. Look out the floor-to-ceiling windows – or better still, step out the glass doors onto the terrace – and you're greeted with sublime views of the Scottish capital's renowned Georgian architecture and the slow-moving waters of the Firth of Forth on the horizon. At the same time, the elegant interior design does a pretty good job of warranting closer inspection. We particularly like how the bare wooden floors and wealth of sleek surfaces work well with the copious amounts of natural light, as well as the fact that there's not just one, but two pianos – a baby grand in the living space and a slightly more compact version in the corridor. Elsewhere, there's a large kitchen island that's ripe for entertaining, a freestanding bathtub calling out for a long soak and exercise equipment in case you ever find yourself in need of a workout at any point. We haven't even gotten around to the amenities that lie outside the glass doors, either. Although Edinburgh isn't known for its tropical temperatures, that doesn't mean it will be any less pleasant to luxuriate in the hot tub or dine...
