Formerly an old ruin at the end of a dirt track, the owners of this building enlisted a group of award-winning architects to design a beautiful family home. The result is a minimalist sanctuary that celebrates the soft light, warmth and natural abundance of the Algarve. Nestled among wildflowers and hundreds of olive trees, this is the kind of space that sits in perfect harmony with its environment. From the indoor and outdoor living spaces to the local handmade furniture, mesmerising views and swimming pool, every detail inspires a wonderful sense of tranquillity. And just like a minimalist painting, it’s the simplicity of this home that makes it stand out. You’ll love watching the sunrise or set from the rooftop terrace, taking refreshing dips in the pool and gathering for drinks under the trees. Days can be spent on the golden sandy beaches of the coast, picking up fresh local delicacies at Loulé market and visiting the beautiful Fonte Benemola (where you’ll find waterfalls and lovely picnic spots nestled within the nature reserve).
