Set in over a hectare of forest, this beautiful Paley home makes getting back in touch with nature a pretty stately affair. Once you’re through the wrought-iron gates, drive up to the home and immerse yourself in the tranquillity from the moment you set foot on the grounds. Immediately surrounded by an exquisite garden, you’ll soon find yourself itching to explore the woodland beyond by taking one of the beautiful walks through the forest. Inside, manor-house elegance combined with countryside chic results in a cosy space that’s just palatial enough for you to daydream about living out your own Jane Austen novel, but without it feeling like a space where you can’t just as easily lounge around in an oversized jumper all day. Fontainebleau is around thirty minutes away and the chateau will make for a beautiful backdrop to a group photo when you’re there. Stop off for lunch before stocking up on supplies and returning home.
