Nestled within a historic building, this ever-so-sleek and modern apartment has been renovated to inspire a restorative effect on its guests. The free-flowing space is swathed in contemporary furnishings which blend seamlessly with the original beamed ceilings and exposed brickwork. It’s a serene space with a plump sofa for sinking into with a chilled glass of Muscadet, and a sumptuously slick kitchen for French feasts – make sure to pick up your ingredients from the vibrant market of Place des Lices, a short walk away. Our favourite spot might be the master suite – it's a little oasis above the bustling city streets – slide into the freestanding tub to relax after a day exploring the Musée des Beaux-Arts, then sink into your soft sheets for a good night’s sleep. When you’re ready to explore, grab a croissant from your local boulangerie, then stroll along the banks of the River Vilaine. Next, sample some local Briton delicacies and regional specialities at an authentic bistrot before catching a performance at the Rennes Opera House.
