There's one main reason that people flock to the town of Damgan and that's the long stretches of idyllic beaches that dominate the coastline in this corner of Brittany. With this in mind, you can see why we're so smitten with this apartment that's only 80 metres from the seaside. Having said that, there's more riding in the home's favour than its prime position on the map. The design is sleek and contemporary, with a preference for walls painted in muted grey, sleek surfaces and white furnishings. The bedrooms might lie on the smaller side, but the open and light-filled communal space more than makes up for it – if not, the private balcony should act as a sweetener. When it comes to filling up your itinerary, more active types will be overjoyed at the number of outdoor excursions that are easy to try here, whether it's renting bicycles and watersports equipment or simply swimming in the Gulf of Morbihan. The town centre is only 150 metres from the home when you want restaurants, cafes and bars.
