Boasting fabulous views over the bay of Ajaccio, you need only to step out onto the large south-west facing terrace to begin to appreciate not only the beauty of Corsica but also its rich, varied history and how here traditional Italian culture melds with a particularly French joie de vivre in order to create the uniquely Corsican way of life. Open your eyes and the brilliant waters of the bay will be among the first things you see as the bedroom enjoys direct access to the terrace. After filling your lungs with a breath of sea-air, head to the living room for a cup of freshly brewed coffee at the breakfast bar and to decide what you're going to do for the day. Conveniently located close to the shops, restaurants, bars and other amenities of Pietrosella, the apartment offers its guests a comfortable and stylish abode from where you can head out to explore the island's captivating coastal hideaways. Among our favourites have to be the wide, sugary sands of Agosta beach – located just a 10-minute walk away – and the mesmerisingly clear waters of Isolella backgrounded by distant mountains, which is around an 8-minute drive from the apartment. There is also a cove just 3-minutes walking downhill from the apartment, so you can nip off for a quick dip whenever you feel like it. From exhilarating hikes surrounded by breathtaking scenery, to leisurely strolls through postcard-worthy towns and fishing villages, and even vineyard tours of the wine estates of Capitoro and Omasca (around a 20-minute drive from the apartment) there is something for everyone to fall in love with in Corsica.
