Housed in a red-brick building in Long Island City, this handsome suite-style room is an ideal base for those looking to experience the Big Apple from the other side of the East River. Though pocket-sized, it’s got everything needed for a comfortable base whether you’re visiting on business or looking to soak up the sights. And while it may not have a kitchen, you’ve got plenty of restaurants, bars and coffee shops on your doorstep to satiate all tastebuds. Thanks to the dedicated desk space, working from home is a breeze. Alternatively stake your claim on one of the communal lounge’s tables to work and socialise before heading up to one of the two terraces for a cold beer in the sun. We recommend enjoying the shared rooftop at sunset, however, for staggering views over Manhattan’s skyline. With plenty to see and do around you – including Queensbridge Park, the Museum of the Moving Image and Gantry Plaza State Park – you’re in for a good time here.

About FiDi
The Financial District sits at the Southern end of Manhattan Island and is a mass of interwoven streets that blend the old with the new – quite unlike the grid-based avenues of the rest of Manhattan. Here, shining glass skyscrapers emerge above the 17th-century cobbled streets of the original New Amsterdam settlement. 19th-century Greystone buildings now house the headquarters of the most advanced companies in the world. Being the major...
