Immerse yourself in the beauty of the North York Moors at this beautiful stone cottage. While its exterior is entirely in keeping with the traditional stone buildings of the area, your hosts have renovated the interior spaces to create a home that blends traditional touches with modern functionality – making it the perfect choice for a rural retreat with your family. A stunning oak fireplace surround forms the centrepiece of the living room, which is filled with natural light throughout the day thanks to the skylights lining the ceiling. A bespoke set of steel and wood stairs winds up to the kitchen, equipped with everything you'll need for a self-catered stay. Meanwhile, both bedrooms follow a similar theme, with a subdued colour palette livened up by bursts of yellow. To the rear of the cottage is a secure garden with direct access to 47 acres of unspoiled scenery inhabited by all manner of creatures, great and small. If that's whetted your appetite, then the wilds of the nearby heather-covered moorland can be reached by following nearby footpaths. Alternatively, history buffs will appreciate the cottage's proximity to the area's many museums. At the same time, train enthusiasts might enjoy riding a steam train... along 18 miles of track, watching the North York Moors pass by out of the window.
