Nestled on a private leafy street in the North Yorkshire countryside, this pastoral cottage is the perfect couple’s getaway. The stone brick cottage and surrounding area feel like they’re straight out of a fairy tale. Spend dreamy days exploring your host’s 47 acres of daisy-dotted meadows, taking light strolls beside the river, and stroking the gentle horses. With so much nature and beautiful scenery right on your doorstep, relaxing comes easy. Inside, the storybook-like bucolic charm takes over the space, with a gas-burning fireplace, beamed ceilings, and a cute country-style kitchen. It’s a wonderful place to come home to after a day of exploring – sipping on a glass of red wine and putting your favourite comfort film on the TV while your dog curls up beside you. In the mornings, take your coffee to your flourishing garden and breathe in the fresh countryside air. Catch up on your book, decide on the day’s plan, or better yet – have no plan at all. Blissful days can easily be spent on this private land, but if you do want to explore, you’re in the heart of Cropton. The historic village dates back over 2000 years, with rows of traditional stone cottages... making a picture-perfect scene. To learn more about the area’s abundant history, you’re close to Pickering and its museums and galleries. Or, if you want to make the most of Cropton's privileged proximity to the North York Moors National Park, you can take long walks through the heather moorland and along the dazzling coastline.
