Speaking of the kitchen, this has to be our favourite spot. If you have someone keen to show off their culinary skills, they’ll find everything they need in this sleek space. While dinner is cooking, the rest of the group can prop themselves up at the breakfast bar, uncork a bottle of wine and let the conversation flow. This sociable space ensures no one misses out. A home for all seasons, in chillier months, cuddle up on the corner sofa in the evening and find yourself a flick to watch. When the sun is shining, you’ll probably prefer to have dinner or drinks alfresco and soak up a little Vitamin C. Durham is just a short fifteen-minute drive away from your home in West Rainton and well worth a visit. A vibrant city which bursts with life, it still maintains its history and you’ll find yourself wandering the cobbled streets, popping into independent shops. Another must-see is the stunning Norman architecture on display at Durham Cathedral. With so much to enjoy, it’s nice to remember the charming home you have to return to after a busy day.
