Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

It’s not often that we find ourselves speechless, but this historic home in the heart of Positano has us lost for words. Built in the late 18th century, this gorgeous building was once home to Eduardo De Filippo, one of Italy’s greatest playwrights, and has since been lovingly maintained by your hosts to ensure you have a truly exceptional stay. There’s so much to take in here that we wouldn’t blame you if you weren’t sure where to start. From the vaulted ceilings to the shaded terrace overlooking the Gulf of Salerno, this place is full of surprises, each more wonderful than the last. Sit back and relax by the living room fire, put your cooking skills to the test in the fully equipped kitchen, or head out onto the balcony, glass of wine in hand, and watch the sun go down over the glistening Mediterranean. We don’t know about you, but we can’t think of anywhere we’d rather be.

There's a dedicated desk here if you need to catch up on some work during your stay

Air conditioning is available in some bedrooms

About Amalfi Coast

Overlooking the Gulf of Salerno, the Amalfi Coast has always attracted a certain echelon of well-heeled holidaymaker. From the eighteenth century onwards, many of the picturesque towns — Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi itself — were essential stop-offs for those lucky enough to embark on a Grand Tour, as well as later being favoured for a creative escapade by artistic types such as Byron, Ibsen and Steinbeck. It’s really not difficult...
