It's pretty clear what was at the top of the list for the architect that designed this intriguing home in Comporta – natural light and lots of it. Enormous walls of glass line the sides of the home and the dazzlingly white interior design only accentuates this plentiful natural asset. These huge windows also have the added benefit of looking out to peaceful views of local rice fields, too. As you can probably begin to tell, it's a rather relaxing address. There are lots of spots in the tropical garden in which to appreciate the local tranquillity, whether on the back of a lounger or while dining alfresco on the table. Whenever the temperature takes a dip, you can head back inside and cosy up next to the contemporary fireplace in the lounge. When it comes to seeing a little more of the locale, there are vast swathes of golden beaches covering the Portuguese coastline that start from as close as 1.5km away, while the nearest town is only 2km away for when you're in need of restaurants and shops.
