This stunning stone-built house in the village of Kineton is an absolute Warwickshire winner. Featuring deep-set mullioned windows, low, exposed oak beamed ceilings, red brick quarry tiled floors and cavernous fireplaces fitted with cosy wood burning stoves, this country cottage is stuffed to the rafters with both character and charm. Boasting an intimate yet impressive living room, an atmospheric dining room and a snug study, not to mention a garden full of fruit trees, an alfresco barbecue and dining area, summer house and bar, this exquisite English home really does have it all. In the summer months you’ll love wandering about the well-established garden, picking apples and pears to make jams or crumbles, barbecuing to your heart’s content and dining alfresco on the patio before a sweat inducing game of garden jenga. As the heat of the day fades, why not take the opportunity for a snooze on the cane sofa in the summer house or open the second door closest to the house and you’ll find your very own garden bar. At chillier times of year, you’ll love taking to one of the two tub chairs by the wood burning stove in the study and curling up with a good book,... or watching the world go by from your cushioned window seat, gathering beneath fairy light laden beams in the divine dining room either for long, lazy brunches, fun-filled Sunday lunches or elegant evening meals that linger on into the evening. At the day’s end get competitive with a game or two of cards at the glass topped coffee table in the sitting room or let the battle of the boardgames commence before hosting a family friendly movie night. Whatever you do, don’t forget to indulge in a long, hot soak in the tub before bed. As if all that wasn’t enough, your home’s location in Kineton guarantees a wealth of attractions on your doorstep. Country bumpkins will want to set off on the circular Red Road walk before stopping off for lunch at the lovely local pub while the culture vultures among you will want to explore either Compton Verney Art Gallery and Park or Upton House and Gardens, a mere two or five miles away.
