Standing tall at the top of San Jacopo hill, this charming Tuscan farmhouse has been lovingly restored to its 18th-century glory. Outside you'll find lush green gardens dotted with colorful flowers, clusters of olive trees and of course, the rolling green hills that make this region so famous. Indoors there are plenty of original features, giving his home authentic charm in abundance, with beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and even hand-painted floral motifs on the wall, adding a real sense of joy to the interiors. It's also just as practical as it is pretty, with plenty of activities to keep the whole family entertained. Start your days by cooking brunch in the country kitchen, which is best enjoyed on one of the many patios. Sip coffee and enjoy the shade of the pergola, or go for a workout in the outdoor gym. However you spend your mornings, you won't struggle to fill your days here if you fancy getting out and about. Tuscany is foodie heaven, and the small village of Palaia not only offers a rich and colourful history but some of the best produce in the region, too. Take a trip to the main square to shop for the best... wine, olive oil and white truffles you'll ever taste at the market. Once the goods are secured, head home to try cooking some Tuscan delicacies on the barbecue. Gather the family on the patio, pop open a bottle of wine and tuck in. Post-dinner, wind down in the hot tub or cool off in the swimming pool. Start some friendly competition over a few games of table football or ping pong, then head inside to cosy up in front of the fireplace for the evening.
