About Aurelio
Despite its proximity to the Vatican, Aurelio is still often overlooked by Romans and tourists alike, only mentioned as the butt of the joke. However, it has more to offer than most would believe. A bustling residential district, it has plenty of local haunts with the clientele spilling out onto the street, as well as several green squares and a Russian Orthodox church, Santa Caterina Martire. It’s worth noting that some parts can be hard to reach, even with public transport, and it becomes less prepossessing as you head further north or west.

This home is managed directly by its owner who will be your point of contact before and during your stay. When we arrived, we were greeted by Andrea and his whole family - definitely a more personal experience than most check ins - and we thought this was a great touch. They run the place together, taking care of everything, from the cleaning to the plumbing themselves. As a result, they’ve ended up with a little jewel of an apartment.
