If we’ve ever seen a home that was indicative of an Upper East Side experience, it’s The Antique Keeper. The lobby opens up to a Victorian-style home, which has been recently refurbished with period flooring, moulding and wainscoting to keep its original, turn-of-the-century feel. The rooms are no different: ornate furnishings, parquet flooring, and old Toulouse-Lautrec posters, while the pillows are some of the softest we’ve ever tested. The owners of the building also live on the ground floor, so they’re always on hand if you have any questions.

Home truths

Prior to submitting a booking request, we'd advise contacting our MatchMaking Team so the dates can be double checked with the host

This apartment does not have a buzzer system

    Pets are not allowed

There's no lift in the building and the flat is three flights up from the entry hall level

This charming, late 1800s townhouse is not a modern structure – think creaky floorboards and pipes

The kitchen is small and a little outdated, but still good enough to prepare basics

    The fireplaces are only decorative

There is a small additional tax payable to the host once the booking is confirmed

About Sutton Place

Sutton Place is a cosy, affluent enclave on the East River at the upper end of Midtown. One of New York City's smallest and most exclusive neighbourhoods, its six or so tree-lined blocks are marked with regal townhouses and lovely pre-war apartment buildings. Unlike other districts in the city, Sutton Place’s cross streets end in cul-de-sacs (which means that traffic is light), opening up into delightful parks offering astounding views...
